Thomas is Ph.D in Zoology (University of Potsdam, Germany) with a background in Biology (Potsdam College/Humboldt University). He es part of Research Group in Systematics & Biodiversity. is research interest include: Patterns and process of speciation and radiation in ancient lakes, Population Genetics, Infectivity and coevolution of schistosomiasis in China, Evolutionary Genomics of the olobiont, Modeling of Biodiversity distribution in time an space, and Aquatic Invasion Biology.

Jenny Leal-Florez

Jenny is Ph.D. in Natural Sciences (Bremen University, Germany). She has a background in Aquatic Tropical Ecology and Biology (University of Antioquia, Colombia). Her research interests include: Invasion Ecology, Management of Coastal Resources, Ecology of Coastal Systems and Marine Ichthyology.

Sven Zea

Sven is Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (University of Texas, USA). He has a background in Marine Biology (National University of Colombia and Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, Colombia). He is part of the research group in Study and use of natural marine products and fruits of Colombia. His research interests include: Taxonomy, Ecology and Biotechnology of Sponges and Coral Reef Ecology.

Jose Tavera

Jose is Ph.D. in Management and Preservation of Natural Resources (Center of Biologic Research – CIBNOR, Mexico). He has a background in Management of Marine and Coastal Resources and Marine Biology (Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, Colombia). He is part of te research group in Coral Reefs. His research interests include: Didactics of History, Environmental Education and Society and Environmental History.

Monica Puyana

Monica is Ph.D. in Oceanography (University of California, USA) with a background in Marine Biology (Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, Colombia). She is part of te research group in Bioprospection and Biotechnology. Her research interests include: Ecology of Aquatic Macroinvertebrates, Hydrobiological Resources, Limnology, Bioindication, Island river Ecology, Seasonal river Ecology and River landscape Ecology.

Catalina González

Catalina is Ph.D. in Marine Science (University of Bremen, Germany), with a background in forestal engineering and environmental  conservation (National University of Colombia). Her research interests include: Palynology in marine sediments, paleoechology of coastal environments, paleoechology and human occupation.

Andrés Osorio

Andrés is Ph.D. in Marine Science and Tecnology (University of Cantabria, Spain), with a background in Marine Science and Technologies and Civil Engineering (Valle University, Colombia). He is part of the Research Group in Oceanography and Coastal Engineering ‘Oceánicos’. His research interests include: coastal hydrodynamics and sediment transport processes, regeneration of beaches and interaction between beaches and coastal structures, mathematical modeling of port hydrodynamics, laboratory and field measurements and remote sensors.
